Iftar parties are normally held with families, friends, and members of the community. They host fasting people and share food with them. At the time of Maghrib prayer, Muslims traditionally break their fast with a date or water. Iftar is the time when Muslims replenish their energy levels, so they make an effort to cook. For iftar, a variety of foods are prepared. Here are some recipes by Googlushee for fasting tables that you can prepare.

Potato Donuts Recipe:

Ingredients:

Boiled Potatoes: ½ kg 

Breadcrumbs: 1 Cup 

Cornflour: 3 tablespoon 

Cumin seeds: 1 & ½ tablespoon

Chicken powder: 1 tablespoon 

Red chili powder: ½ tablespoon

Garlic powder: ½ tablespoon

Black pepper powder: 1 tablespoon

Salt: 1 tablespoon or to taste

Egg: 1

Chopped Onion: 1 medium size

All-purpose flour: 3 tablespoon

Dried parsley: ½ tablespoon 

Paprika powder 1 tablespoon

Salt: ½ tablespoon 

Eggs: whisked 2

Breadcrumbs: 1 Cup

Cooking oil: to fry

Potato Donuts Recipe

How to prepare?

Take a bowl, add boiled potatoes in it and mash well using a masher. Add breadcrumbs, cornflour, cumin seeds, chicken powder, red chili powder, garlic powder, black pepper powder, salt, egg, onion, fresh parsley, and mix until well mingled. After the mix, cover it and let it rest for 10 minutes.

Put some oil on your hands and take some mixture to make a ball, flatten it like a donut.

Take another bowl, add all-purpose flour, dried parsley, paprika powder, salt, add water if needed, add eggs and flit well to make a paste. Now dip the donut into prepared batter and coat with breadcrumbs.

Heat cooking oil in a frying pan and put the coated donuts in it. Fry donuts on medium flame until their color changes to a golden brown.

Drizzle cheese sauce, fresh parsley & serve on the table!

Chicken Pakora Recipe:

Ingredients:

Gram flour: 3 tablespoon

Red chili powder: ½ tablespoon

Coriander powder: 1 tablespoon

Turmeric powder: ½ tablespoon

Salt: 1 tablespoon or to taste

Garam masala powder: ½ tablespoon

Yellow food color: 1/4 tablespoon

Cumin powder: 1 tablespoon

Boneless chicken slices: ½ kg

Lemon juice: 4 tablespoon

Peeled Potatoes: ½ kg

Cornflour: 4 tablespoon

Red chili powder: 1 tablespoon

All-purpose flour: 3 tablespoon

Black pepper powder: 1 tablespoon

Salt: 1 tablespoon

Garlic powder: 1 tablespoon

Cooking oil for frying

Chicken Pakora Recipe

How to prepare?

Take a bowl and add gram flour, red chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, salt, garam masala powder, yellow food color, cumin powder, and mix them well. Now add boneless chicken slices and lemon juice into it and mix well. Marinate for 15 minutes.

Slice potatoes using a slicer and cut into thin julienne and you can also use Speedy Vegetable Chopper. Take another bowl and add potatoes, cornflour, red chili powder, all-purpose flour, black pepper powder, salt, garlic powder, and mix well.

Take some potato mixture on your palm and chicken marinated cube and cover it with potato mixture. 

Heat cooking oil in a wok and fry the potato-coated chicken cubes on medium flame until golden brown.

Sprinkle chaat masala & serve with sauce or dip!

Chatpattay Dahi Baray:

Ingredients:

Daal phulkiyan

Yogurt

Chopped tomato

Chopped onion

Fresh coriander chopped

Chopped cabbage

Crushed Red chili

Amchur ki chutney

Hari chutney

Papri

Nimco Sev

How to prepare?

Take a serving dish and add dumplings, yogurt, tomato, onion, fresh coriander, cabbage, red chili crushed, amchur ki chutney, hari chutney, yogurt, tomato, papri, nimco sev, fresh coriander, crushed red chili. Mix them all gently & serve!

Cheese Samosa Pops:

Ingredients:

Chicken boiled & shredded: 1 Cup

Chopped capsicum: ½ Cup

Chopped jalapenos: 2 tablespoon

Mozzarella cheese grated: ½ Cup

Fresh parsley chopped: 2 tablespoon

Garlic powder: 1 tablespoon

Black pepper: ½ tablespoon

Red chili powder: ½ tablespoon

Salt: ½ tablespoon

Plain paratha

Egg: 1

Cooking oil for frying

Cheese Samosa Pops

How to prepare?

Take a bowl and add chicken, capsicum, jalapenos, mozzarella cheese, cheddar cheese, fresh parsley, mustard paste, garlic powder, black pepper crushed, red chili powder & salt. Mix well & set them aside.

Sprinkle dry flour on the surface and place the plain paratha on it. Cut the plain paratha into a square shape then cut into four equal squares. At one corner of the square, place a skewer and put one tablespoon prepared chicken filling on it. Then cover it with another square. Press it gently and seal the corners/edges. For the final cook, you can choose either the baking or frying method. You can bake in a preheated oven at 180 C for 18-20 minutes. Else, heat cooking oil in a wok and fry on medium-low flame until its color changes to golden/brown.

Serve them with dip!

Crispy Chicken Skewer:

Ingredients:

Boneless chicken strips: ½ kg

Chilli sauce: 1 tablespoon

Lemon juice: 2 tablespoon

Red chili powder: 1 tablespoon

Chaat masala: 1 tablespoon

Salt: 1 tablespoon or to taste

Garam masala powder: ½ tablespoon

Green chili crushed: 1 tablespoon

Tomato ketchup: 2 tablespoon

Ginger garlic paste: 1 & ½ tablespoon

Cornflour: 4-5 tablespoon

Breadcrumbs: 1 Cup

Cooking oil for frying

How to prepare?

Take a bowl and add boneless chicken stripes, chili sauce, lemon juice, red chili powder, chaat masala, salt, garam masala powder, green chili, tomato ketchup, ginger garlic paste & mix all well. Cover it with polythene & marinate in the refrigerator. After 30-45 minutes, take out and add cornflour & mix well. Take some mixture and thread into wooden skewers, coat with breadcrumb, and press gently.

For frying, heat cooking oil in a wok & place chicken skewers in it. Fry them on medium-low flame until color changes to a golden brown & turns crispy.

Serve with tomato ketchup or dip/sauce!

Sehri Spicy Paratha:

Ingredients:

Fine flour: 1 & ½ Cup

Salt: 1 tablespoon or to taste

Red chili crushed: ½ tablespoon

Water: 1 & ½ Cup

Garlic paste: 1 tablespoon

Chopped onion: ¼ Cup

Chopped fresh coriander: 2 tablespoon

Cooking oil: 1 & ½ tablespoon

How to prepare?

Take a bowl and add fine flour, salt, crushed red chili & mix them well. Add water gradually & whisk. After 3-4 minutes, add garlic paste, onion, fresh coriander, cooking oil & mix well. As the batter is ready, don’t rest it.

Flame the stove. Heat non-stick griddle & grease with oil immediately. Pour prepared batter using ladle & spread evenly. Cook on low flame until it changes color then flip and apply oil in between. Serve with yogurt!
